Swagat

Swagat is a fantastic restaurant! The hosts are so friendly and welcoming. All of the food is delicious. I have had multiple dishes in the buffet, and all of them were excellent. Great selection on the menu. Excellent chai tea, delicious desserts. For Indian cuisine lovers, or those looking to try something new, I highly recommend Swagat!

The place is well kept and the staff is nice. Prices are a bit high (a given if you're going anywhere in Tarrytown) if you're going there for dinner, however, their lunch buffet is cheaper. Food is okay, not too good, not too bad.

Service is lacking but the food is delicious. They put a little too much ice in the mango lassi tho. You barely get a sip.

A nice roomy area in the center of town. Great options for dining. It's BYOB, so if you want alcohol with your meals, you need to bring whatever. They're fine with that. They were very accommodating with the large group my friend invited for his birthday party last month and very helpful with us. They ask if you want your meal spicy or "American spicy." I wish I went with spicy cause "American Spicy" is slang for "not really spicy" it seems. Had a really good time eating here and look forward to going back.

Authentic food delicous

I discovered this delicious hidden gem a year ago when I lived in Tarrytown and I have not stopped going back. Not only is the food amazing but the service is the best. I’ve gone to so many different Indian restaurants but nothing compares. All I can say is you must stop in

Great service and awesome food.. we had the lamb tandoori and the chicken Tikka missala and it was unbelievable! Accompanied by incredible Naan.

This is a really lovely place for all you can eat Indian food. There is so much food, you may not have room for it all. The food is delicious, coming from an actual Indian person. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I love the fish curry. It is a lunch buffet from 11-3:00 pm for $10.95.

Bad service worse food

Authentic Indian food at a reasonable price! I went there for their lunch buffet on a Sunday. Place was not crowded. Wide array of choices, my favorite was goat curry. The tea was great too! Will be back!

All you can eat lunch buffet for 12! Dinner is good, but larger portions when eating in versus take out.

The service at this place was horrible, I almost waited an hour for the food and the food was not the best, definitely will not recommend to others, just a waste of money.

Worst customer service!! I wanted one more napkin when it fell down but the old man who have small beard said to me to use that dirty napkin and rejected to give me a new napkin. He was saying “if you drop your clothes , you can easily use your clothes; so why you can’t use this (Referring to the dirty napkin)? Very unprofessional, also rude behavior.

The lunch buffet is great and the owner is so friendly and sweet! Went for lunch and he offered us chai at the end. Such a great local business but it's always empty when I walk past. I wish more people would try it and love it as much as I do

We traveled 2 hours out of our way to eat at Swagat last week. We ate there last year, and have wanted to come back ever sense. The owner is genuine and attentive. My husband and I are not world travelers, but the food at Swagat is the best Indian food we have ever had (hence the 2 hour drive). I highly recommend this restaurant.

Terrible food! Go to Tulsi across the bridge for a better experience, management is much more pleasant and not rude.

Great place And price for lunch buffet with for lots of good food. There was a nice selection and the ambience was very nice. We sat there for hours and the staff did not throw us out Lol. Will definitely go back

reviews seems biased, they are making a mockery out of Indian cuisine. If in need you have to buy food from here, do not ever go for any biryani. Only 1 mark is for their staff.

Delivery is always fast and friendly. I have never eaten in the restaurant but it has a nice feel inside. The staff are smiley and welcoming. I always get vegetarian samosas and the navratan korma which is delicious with naan and their rice. keep up the good work!

I love this restaurant! BYOB can't get any more enticing. The staff is courteous. I've been here for dinner and everything I tasted was amazing. Especially the desserts. Great area to find parking, close to metronorth, tappanzee express and some other beeline buses. Definitely will be back!!

I was in this cafe, yesterday! So, food is the best! I'm really like Indian food! And I love guys wich work here! Best team of staff! We came in Swagat at 9.50 PM! It must be close at this time, but, manager say "Guys please come in". And we left this nice place only at 11.30!Recommend!

Woah, so yummy!

Very delicious, great sauces and flavors. I recommend Swagat Indian for its terrific food. I ordered Chicken Shashilik (marinated chicken breast cooked in a Tandoor oven, with chunks of onion, green pepper and tomatoes), Rosemary Naan bread, lemon pickle, appetizer Chana Chaat Papri (cold vegetarian chickpeas and potatoes), and mango Lassi (yogurt and mango - like a perfect smoothie, which is great before the spicy lemon pickle). Rice with the entree, and rice pudding dessert were free. The very first item, given free, was pappadum thin bread with three sauces on the side. Service was great. I loved the whole meal. The space is comfortable with floor to ceiling windows and beautiful embroidered cloth under glass at each table. I recommend this place.

I ordered from this restaurant on Grubhub and was told the delivery would be made around 4:45pm. I called the restaurant around 5:15pm inquiring about my order, to which the person rudely replied that delivery is not until 6:30pm. He would not even let me talk and all he did was yell at me. I would NOT RECOMMEND THIS RESTAURANT!!!

This is a solidly priced, medium-tier Indian place with an all-you-can-eat option. I don't think it needs much more description than that.
